The Children’s Ministry at Living Word
In Living Word’s children’s ministry, different methods of learning are incorporated into every lesson to help students understand biblical concepts geared to their style of learning. The children are encouraged to interact with biblical concepts through questions and review, ensuring that they are grasping the content at their age level. The children’s program is offered during the 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM services, using the same format.
On Sunday mornings, the children will go through the entire bible, from Genesis to Revelation, in three years. There is a large group session where the children will learn the bible story, review, and worship together. The children then participate in a small group session where activities will reinforce what they learned that day.
During our Sunday night session, the children will have the opportunity to participate in our children’s choir! Two plays are preformed every year – one to kick off VBS and one for Christmas. If your child does not want to participate in the play, there will be an alternate option for them where they will learn a bible lesson.
On Wednesday nights, children are led through TeamKID, where they will go deeper into the bible and develop their bible skills.
SERVING WITH THE CHILDREN
If you have a passion for ministry to children, then consider serving with our children’s ministry! Volunteers are needed on Wednesday nights or during the morning services on Sunday, either weekly or on a rotating schedule.
