Missionary of the Month

Missions Spotlight:  Schweinsbergs

Serving: New Tribes Mission

New Tribes Mission is an agency focused on reaching the Least Reached People Groups with the Gospel.  They are least reached due to geographical or political difficulty.  Because NTM is a Church Planting and Bible Translation agency, missionaries are required to spend several years among a people group, to learn their language and culture, in order to better translate the Word of God and to teach them the Truth of the Gospel.

The Schweinsbergs spent 15 years in Panama before transferring to Lynchburg to mobilize students at Liberty and surrounding colleges to commit their lives and careers to reaching those who have never heard the name of Jesus.

Future Mission Goals

We will continue to serve here in Lynchburg for the next few years, making a few trips to Panama to do research among the indigenous tribes there as well as looking at a possible church plant among retirees.

We are in prayer about our future mission goals, considering working again in Panama either as independent missionaries or with international Gospel Outreach Mission.
