Ex Nihilo – About Us

Our singular mission as a senior high school ministry ( 9th – 12th grades) is to glorify our Creator and enjoy Him forever. We will cultivate an atmosphere of pursuit, purpose, provision and proclamation so that believers will grow in and non-believers will know of the magnificent truth that they are created in the image of God.

Every service or event we gather for will fall under at least one ministry tag: Pursue, Purpose, Provision, and Proclamation. Often times our time together will fall under multiple tags. We identify every service and event to ensure that our reason for gathering is Christ centered.

The pursuit of God is the reason for life.

37And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38This is the great and first commandment. 39And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depends all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40

The design of our lives is to be conformed to the image of the Son.

For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his   Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. Romans 8:29

The Lord declared that his followers were the light of the world.

10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 4:10-11

Christians are compelled and empowered by God to proclaim the Gospel and make disciples.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20
